Stop 1 - Urban Chestnut Brewing Company

The first stop was at the new Urban Chestnut brewery location.

This spacious location has a great tap room. This nice logo in stainless steel is the first thing you see before setting your eyes on their brewing equipment.

We were able to get a personal tour of their high-tech eco-friendly brewing equipment.

Great personalized porthole into a brew kettle.

In the back of the brewery is a massive space for fermentation. Urban Chestnut has thought ahead and are ready for future expansion.
thumb_IMG_0374_1024

They have an nice array of beer aging in barrels.
thumb_IMG_0376_1024

In another area in the back of the brewery, there is a large bottling line.
thumb_IMG_0378_1024

Because of this nice setup, Urban Chestnut can give beer lovers this amazing selection of craft beers.

Stop 2 - Six Mile Bridge Brewing

The second stop was at Six Mile Bridge Brewing.

This brewery has an intimate tasting room with nice artwork of their logo on bottles.
thumb_IMG_0381_1024

In the back of the brewery is a spacious area where they brew. This area is setup for major expansion for a brewery that is less than a year old. I can see this space getting filled up quickly in the years to come.
thumb_IMG_0383_1024

Owners, Ryan and Lindsay Sherring (husband and wife), explain to the group their brewing process and the beers they make.
thumb_IMG_0384_1024

This is their Irish Red Ale. For me, it is hard to find a tasty Irish Red, but SMB has done an amazing job with adding honey to give it a smoother flavor.
thumb_IMG_0389_1024

They currently have a small selection of fantastic beers, but I can see them adding a few more to their selection soon.

Stop 3 - Old Bakery Beer Company

The third stop was at Old Bakery Beer Company.

Out front is this cool wooden wagon with their logo. It doubles as a sign to attract customers and it sets the mood for an old-timey feel.
thumb_IMG_0395_1024

When you first walk into the brewery, you can see the giant area where they brew the beer. The group was able to get a tour of the area.
This brewery is one out of 25 breweries in the nation to brew organic beer.
I can see this space packed in the next three years.
thumb_IMG_0396_1024

They have some tasty stouts chilling in whiskey barrels. I cannot wait to see how they taste!
thumb_IMG_0399_1024

Stop 4 - Modern Brewery

The final stop was at Modern Brewery.

When walking into the tap room of this brewery, you will see this beautifully lit sign with their logo.
thumb_IMG_0408_1024

In the back, they have a small footprint for their brewing equipment. They are able to pump out a lot of beer, but they are having to work around the clock to keep up with demand. I can see them adding another location soon for brewing more beer.
thumb_IMG_0410_1024

I love the different styles of beer they serve.
thumb_IMG_0414_1024

My favorite are their stouts.

This was an amazing tour. I am looking forward in more tours hosted by the St. Louis Brewers Guild.
